the automotive industry, shoe industry, technical industry as well
as in transport and communication. The "GFW" -Economic Foundation has
awarded its innovation prize to this development. In-Mould-Skinning
facilitates color coatings with a thickness up to 1,500 mµ but offer,
nevertheless, an astonishing elasticity.
IMS-products can be processed comfortably with spray application in
closed and open tools. Through the clean and solvent-free Airless-Process,
harmful spray dusts are reduced to a minimum. The little "overspray" also
contributes to the cost advantage of this solution. Despite their typical
natural coloring, good value recycling-foam-systems can also be used
for back-foaming as undesired shadow-effects will not appear. The production
process is to be automated as far as possible and offers constant film
thickness at a high quality by means of robot-controlled monitoring.
The thickness of the outer skin may be adjusted from soft to hard — depending
on its purpose. In connection with IMS, PU offers as a pure quality
composite material a real market alternative to the present material
process procedures.
